- Economic data comes from FRED, the U.S. Treasury and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics; filings and the statements built from them come from SEC EDGAR.
- Crypto data is provided by CoinGecko.
- Pages show the source and the as-of time beside their figures where they can. None of these sources endorses The Market Terminal.
Prices and charts
Yahoo Finance is the current source of delayed quotes and price charts for stocks, funds, indices, futures and currencies, and of company fundamentals and key statistics, until the licensed feed is live. Quotes are delayed, typically by up to 15 minutes depending on the exchange.
Financial statements for a company that files with the SEC are read from its filings (see SEC filings); for a company that does not, they are Yahoo Finance’s.
Economic data
FRED
Interest rates, credit spreads, labor, money supply and inflation series, and the release dates of scheduled reports, come from FRED, Federal Reserve Economic Data, published by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
This product uses the FRED® API but is not endorsed or certified by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
U.S. Treasury
Treasury yields come from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s daily par yield curve, which also fills the days FRED has not posted yet.
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics
Some labor and price series, and the weights of the CPI categories (relative importance), come from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
BLS.gov cannot vouch for the data or analyses derived from these data after the data have been retrieved from BLS.gov.
SEC filings
Company filings come from SEC EDGAR, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s public filing system: annual and quarterly reports, 8-Ks, insider trades on Form 4, Schedules 13D and 13G, 13F holdings, and S-1 and F-1 registrations. The financial statements on Asset Details and the Stock Screener’s fundamentals are built from the XBRL data in those filings, and filing alerts are checked against EDGAR.
Crypto
Crypto prices, market values and 24-hour changes come from CoinGecko.

Charts are drawn with TradingView Lightweight Charts™, Copyright TradingView, Inc., under the Apache License 2.0.
